As a proud parent of three Richardson ISD students, and as an educator, PTA member, community volunteer, and dedicated advocate for public education, I am honored to run for the RISD Board of Trustees, District 3.

I hold a Master of Education in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning with a specialization in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University. My professional background includes six years of classroom teaching experience as well as service as a Director of Admissions at a private school. In the classroom, I gained firsthand insight into the daily needs of both teachers and students and the practical strategies required to achieve successful outcomes. As an Admissions Director, I was responsible for recruiting, evaluating, and enrolling students, which provided valuable experience in enrollment strategy and community engagement.

When my children were younger, I continued serving students and families as a substitute teacher in RISD and as a volunteer with various nonprofit organizations. As my family grew more independent, I returned to RISD as a full-time teacher in Berkner High School’s CTE program, reaffirming my commitment to supporting student success and preparing young people for their futures.

I have proudly called Richardson home for 18 years, and I believe that the diversity of our community is one of our greatest strengths. I am running for the school board to ensure every student has a strong voice and access to excellence and equitable educational opportunities that allow them to thrive. As your future representative on the Board of Trustees, I will work collaboratively, and I will hold myself accountable to students, teachers, parents, and the entire community we serve.
